On Friday one of my awesome parent volunteers put together this adorable Thanksgiving bulletin board. {Can I just tell you that I have the BEST parent volunteers??!} Last week this wonderful parent volunteer sent home a feather with each student, that she pre-cut out of poster board. My students got to decorate their feathers with whatever and however they wanted to!! They loved this homework assignment and had a lot of fun with it. Check out how darling all of the feathers turned out:
And how cute is that little turkey??
On a Side Note: This is what the view from my window has looked like all weekend! It literally hasn't stopped snowing since Friday morning. It has been so fun to stay home and watch it all happen from inside my nice cozy family room. Too bad I have to go out in it tomorrow morning!!
So Beautiful!!!
Happy Winter Fall, Sweet Friends!!!

Wow! That is so pretty! We rarely see that much snow in the South. If we had that much, we wouldn't be having school on Monday. Love your bulletin board!

How in the world do you get one of these room moms? Seriously, I'm in year 10 and I've had 1 for 1 semester. I had a woman who would come in for 1 hour per week about 8 years ago, but my partner teacher was super-organized and had about 3 hours worth of coping for her to do. Needless to say, she put up 1 bulletin board for me and then spent the rest of her time at the copy machine.
ReplyDeleteMaybe 2nd semester I'll ask for one to see if I can get any responses!
What an adorable turkey! It's so colorful and shows each child's individuality.
ReplyDeleteThe snow is beautiful! We NEVER see that in sunny AZ.:)

LOVE your ideas! I made a turkey very similar to yours - I had my kiddos draw things they were thankful for on the feathers. I think it turned out pretty cool! Check it out - I just posted about it on my blog.

Oh Lindsey your photo is breathtaking! Here in Cali nothing says the holidays like 90 degree weather! Well actually, it did sprinkle yesterday (yippie) but we were in shorts and tank tops early this week. Where is fall!? Or better yet, bring on winter! I want to cozy up in some sweaters and sip a pumpkin spice latte!
ReplyDeleteYour turkey is just fab. How awesome is that parent~love those! Thanksgiving blessings to you!
